Q&A Section

Workshops, Whats the benefit?

Depending on which workshop you choose is right for you, they can provide many benefits to your photography ranging from all different types of experience and background of photography. Not only will you learn about your cameras setting about what apertures, shutter speeds and ISO's etc. are needed to capture the image you are after during my workshops I will put you in the right direction to getting the shot! Another benefit from the workshops I offer it will also improve your field craft helping you get closer to nature and get the shot you are after, making it even more rewarding to take home at the end of the day.

Where are the workshops located?

My workshops are located in different locations mostly in Worcestershire, Warwickshire & Gloucestershire depending on the subject that we will be photographing, All of my workshops are in the field as I'am a strong believer of not sitting indoors talking about settings and explaining what situations would suit them best, instead I will take you out photographing either in a hide or shooting at a location, The workshop will then not only improve your photographic techniques but also you will come away with images you are happy of from the day!

What equipment do I need to be able to take part in the workshop?

Ideally for the workshops a DSLR Camera body with a lens minimum of 300mm preferable to shoot with, a 500mm lens would be ideal but don't worry if you don't this equipment for the job as for a small fee I will be able to rent you a good enough setup for the day to capture the images also for the Deer workshops a lens of a 70-200mm range would be suitable to use. Feel free to bring along a tripod or monopod if you feel you need this to help steady the lens if you are uncomfortable with the weight, If you do not have a mono or tripod don't worry as a Monopod can be supplied for the day free of charge. Suitable clothing depending on the time of year is also a must!

What type of Workshops can I pick from & How long is a workshop?

There is many different types of Workshops to suit which range of subject you are after to capture ranging from Deer to small birds such as Nuthatches & Robins, when booking the workshops you can either book a half day (around 4hours) which is around £80 per person depending on subject or a full day (7-10hours depending on light) which is £150 per person for a 1to1 workshop yet again depending on subject, for group bookings will be a 25% discount if there is 3 or more people, please contact me for more information about this.
